Hvytrkmeck I think we were talking about one a while back....... Last week got to work on one.
In the heat of it, I only got 1 pic. But here it is. Rare as it is.
This one is being used as the auxillary engine for the hydraulic pump drive on an oilfield nitrogen pumper. Deck engine is a 60.

My portion was only reinstall it on the trailer, with the pumpdrive and run it up. I was only on it for a day. Some one else in the shop overhauled it.

Mmmm I didn't take note. It probably says right on that data plate but it is long gone back into the bush now. It was built in the 04-05 year range.
I know the unit was built at crown energy here in Calgary. For Big Eagle services which is why its red paint under the edges there. And trican bought them out in the slowdown. That's why its trican champagne over top! Other than that I'm out of info.

OK, I got my numbers mixed up. Not sure I had ever seen specs on the 40.
I prefer my 466 with the American Bosch rotary pump they used in the farm tractors. We had a S1900 with the inline pump and a cargostar cabover with the rotary, and the rotary-pumped one would walk all over the inline-pumped one, even with the S series truck's motor being a lot fresher.
Spent a lot of time with that series of IHC motor. DT 414, 436, 466 share a common block, different cranks, and the 466 head is different. But they will take just about anything you can throw at them.
