Selling your diesel
I haven't had to sell a vehicle out-right in several years. I looked into trading in a few months ago and the suppressed used market has made trade-in prices too much to swallow for me. Well, I want to take care of some debt issues and get my finances back in order. Selling my beloved CTD will greatly help that cause. Don't worry, I'll be back in one later.

So, what's your experience with some of the online classifieds... exposure... success... hassle... etc?

trucktraderonline.com
cars.com
a utotrader.com
Ebay

fyi... it's an '01 2500HD SLT 4x4 qcab lb with 88K miles
Re:Selling your diesel
I used both cars.com and autotrader.com to try and sell my old 2000 F-250. Didn't get any leads off of it if that tells you anything.

Re:Selling your diesel
I just sold my 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP a few weeks ago. I advertised locally in the Thrifty Nickel and the local paper. Also, I had my phone number on the back of the car and in the papers for about 5 weeks and only got a few lookers, nobody serious. Two days after I got it in the AutoTrader it was sold . I paid $39 for a "run til sold ad", not too bad IMO. I'd give them a try.
One thing I found funny was I got a bunch of calls from places like the AutoTrader and a few internet places when I had my ad in the local papers! I was shocked to find out that they pay people to check classified ads and call them trying to get us to advertise with them!
Well, anyways, like I said, give Autotrader a shot. It worked for me and good luck

Re:Selling your diesel
I didn't have any luck with Autotrader when selling my 1999 F-350 crewcab 4x4 diesel dually. I ended up selling it over E-bay for pretty close to what I origanlly was asking for it.
