Scotty ram air II

Has any one here put one of these in the 1st gens. I would like to on mine, but I talked to the guys at Scotty and they said they did not think it would work. I could use some lower EGTs and better air flow (running stock box and filter)

A quick and fast way to get better air for FREE is to take the stock air box (under the fender) and drill a few holes into it. Usually about a 2" hole will do that trick, about 5 - 9 of those or so.

If you want more, then buy a BHAF (Big Honking Air Filter) and replace the stock box with that one. It just fits under the fender and increases air flor a lot. You will notice the sound better and EGT's will come down. I don't have any part numbers with me but there are several that you can purchase. Not sure if you can still get the nice Diamond Plated mount anymore but just having that hanging will still work.

This is on a 2nd Gen but you can see how the BHAF looks a lot larger then the stock air filter. You would just place it on the end of the stock air neck.
