Save money on a headlight switch!

My headlight switch went bad in my '95, and Advance Auto sells new ones for around $90. I got one for a '91 Dakota, which uses the same plug but will not control the dome light as the stock one does. To get a dome light switch again, I just bought a toggle switch. The dome lights are switched on the ground side, so all you need to do is to use the only wire that doesn't go to anything anymore and run it to the toggle switch and then ground the toggle switch. The Dakota one cost me about $17!

Interesting.
Last time I bought one for a '96 at Napa it was $32 but one for a '97 was over $100.
The connectors were entirely different though.

Interesting. A couple of years ago I bought one for my '98 at the dealer for like $60. What's wrong with this picture?

in 98 they changed switches. I'm not sure why they are so expensive for the 94-97's everywhere I looked. (Advance Auto, Summit racing, carquest, etc).
