Rising temp with 1/2 throttle, also leaking coolant

Lately my temp gauge starts to rise with 1/2 throttle, empty or loaded. Just pulled a load of cows (23200 lbs gross) ~260 miles on interstate & backroads. The truck did not run hot just spiked a temp(+200), temporarily by the in-dash gauge with ~1/2 throtle. Any good ideas?

I'd say that was normal. Nothing to do. Mine will spike up a little over 200 for a few seconds not even towing...just getting on it some.

I'd say if you get up to 220-230+ sustained then you would have a cooling problem.

I think you are good.

What is your coolant leak? If it is dripping off the bellhousing, chances are it is the two hose clamps on the short section of hose by the turbo...
