Reliable Power?
Im plannin on starting some real engine mods soon and looking for some input or suggestions on my path I think im going to be taking
. Lookin to make reliable power since I dont really plan on this being a full blown tow rig / race truck etc yet...but a daily driver thats a jack of all trades!
Jumpin on the bandwagon...Twins from MPI
Billet Tranny (either Goerend, HTS or Suncoast)
Helix 2 Cam and Valve Springs
Flux 2 Injectors
Smarty
Maybe a pressure box of some sort (MP8 etc.)
Twin CP3's?
GDP 392 + MK-2+ Big Line Kit
Headstuds
I think I might be missing some things and might not need some things, but thats why im askin

i've been hearing good things about the mpi twins....when i get to that point i will get them or make a copycat set on my own.
not sure on tranny....you will hear different things from different people, im going suncoast, with shafts from opie
cant go wrong with formula1 products!!!
make sure you read up on smarty to make sure its right for you....but dont let the smarty knocking threads fool you, i imagine all prgrammers have their own bugs
i believe the current smarty already adds pressure, so not sure if a pressure box is needed
i imagine you can get reliable moderate power out of a mod single cp3.....but it sure would look nice under the hood with two!!!
head studs are a given...unless you plan on tearing down the motor once a month!
you already have intake and exhaust done, so your good there
maybe a fluidampner to help with the good vibrations! lol

Looks like a pretty good set up. Go TST instead of MP-8... you can get pressure on TST and is more versatile, MP-8 is pressure only. There are a few folks here that stack Smarty, TST, and MP-8.

!Usually the first thing said in these kinds of threads is Gauges, so I will say it. If you are planning that much work, you better have some guages or it may end up being a waste of money.
