Re:cruise control wont come reliable

My 94 is the same way. One day just for grins and giggles I lifted up on the brake pedal with my foot and tried it again. It worked, and has allways made it work from that time. I figure there is a switch out of adjustment but just haven't got down there to look at it yet. Give it a try, not saying that it will fix yours. But if it does, hey it was free.

Vaccum lines to the cruise, which is under the left battery, are made of plastic and battery acid eats holes in them. This causes a vaccum leak and your cruise can go haywire on you. It can also cause your brake lite on the dash to come on.

Pull the battery and it's tray and check your vac lines. Replace with rubber. Odds are this will solve your problem.

Good luck.
