Proud new owner
So I am the proud new owner of 98 4wd 5spd QC.
What I need to know is what service manual to get. I was looking at the FSM and didn't find one for a 98 12 valve, will the 97 work for the engine (I assume that there are no major differences in the 2 years) and a 98 for the body?
Also, the both passenger and driver seat belts have broken coil springs. I was able to jimmy rig the driver's (removed the broken twist and just made it fit and bent it so it would not slide out) will this hold up long or should I just bite the bullet and buy two new assemblies.
Lastly, what triggers the seat belt light on the dash, mine stays on all the time, I figured that it was just a sensor in the actual buckle (clasp?) that might have gone out, but I saw that the spring assembly for the strap had wires going to it, so is it the fact that my assembly is jimmy rigged that causes the sensor to not turn off.

I think if you are looking for interior parts you need to look for 1998.5 and up interior, because that is what made that truck so special, mechanical engine with the new interior. however i am not 100% sure

Also Quad cab was first offered in 98 as well, which also makes them a gem....
