Installed the PML diff cover for the 11.5" AAM. Very well made and looks good, even on a dirty axle. Required 5 qts of fluid to bring the level up to the check hole.
Also installed the Mopar fender shields.

That does look good but I'm leerey of splitting aluminum on rocks as I usually end up where no 3500 should ever be.

What do they say about the strength?

The PML is a fairly thick cast aluminum cover but I wouldn't want to bash it against rocks.

Looks great! But I have a guestion, my BFG 315 spare just barely gets by the stock cover. Does it stick out any farther along the radius for the ring gear than the stock cover? Thanks, Jerry

Yes, it does. This is from just eyeballing it and not actually measuring before and after (guessing about a 1" or so).
I will go out and measure both covers today and reply back with the answer.

That's a good question. I just had my 315 spare out and had to do some jiggling around to get it to clear the stock cover.

I know what you mean. I have to hold my spare to the rear while cranking up tight to get it to clear. But I sure would like to change gear oil without pulling the whole cover.

Here's the measurements between the stock cover and the PML for the Dodge. These are rough estimates measured from the gasket flange. The measurements show that the PML is about 1" thicker than the stock cover.

Stock cover measured at the first radius at the top 1". Maximum depth 3"

PML cover measured at the first radius at the top 2". Maximum depth 4"

Is this cover a O-ring cover like the Mag-Hytec ?

Thanks for the measurements. 1" may be to much. Oh well, will have to look closer for more room or it just may not be doable with the 315 spare on a H2 rim.

No O-ring. The PML uses the rubber gasket from the stock cover. Copper gaskets is used for the fill, check, and drain plug.

Switching to the other half of your project, how are the Mopar fender shields attached? Hopefully it is with screws going into existing holes like for the factory bug deflector you have. I think they look really sharp!

The fender shields are attached with the push pin style screws and double sided tape. The edge of the fender shield slips under the rubber seal that is between the fender and the grill. Just remove the one push pin that holds the rubber gasket on. The other hole is already on the fender. The double sided tape attaches the shield just above the headlights. A 5 minute job and it appears to be pretty solid.
