many many times. the flat black in a spraycan doesn't seem to stick. Next time I haveit out I'm thinking of powder coat flat black.
Any opinions about that. I know they bake it at 325-350 but I don't hink there'd be any problems with the temp. of the oven on the soldered joints.

Since the end caps are aluminum I would use a aluminum oxide primer and good aluminum paint. And make sure the surface is super clean before painting.

Mine has lost the paint on the tanks, too. You're not alone. FWIW it has been that way for over 100k miles and it still has yet to corrode. You should just get one of those purdy HTT intercoolers. They come w/o paint

I painted mine two summers ago and have to paint it again this year. I just used some regular flat black and it worked okay until recently.

I sprayed my engine down with Castrol Super Clean and let it soak a while then hosed it off and ALL the paint came off the top of the intercooler, I think it looke just fine shiny aluminum.

mine is peeling off, can't decide if want to repaint it or steel brush off the rest of the black paint and it'll just look like an aftermarket intercooler.

Well, if'n y'all had the plastic end caps your worries would be over .... Right? By the way, I'd be willing to trade my plastic cooler for one of yours .... plus some to boot of course
