Oil pressure light

I have noticed that when I start my truck, the oil light comes on and the pressure guage stays at 0 for about 2 to 5 seconds before it comes up. When it comes up the light goes off and the pressure is normal. I just changed the oil with Schaeffers 7000 15/40 synthetic oil. The oil level is full. Is this normal or do I have something to worry about. The truck is a 1992 3/4ton 4X4 extended cab, and only has 88,000 original miles. The truck runs great, so was just wondering if anyone else had this issue. Thanks

try a new oil pressure sender, they usually become less sensitive over time and give an inaccurate reading.
Also you can install a tee inline with the sender and block for a mechanical
guage hookup.
I used a grease gun hose and an industrial guage for an underhood oil pressure test guage.
Mine is secured onto the left fender near the grid relays.

Sounds about normal to me.

Oil pump is all the way at the front of the engine and the pickup is at the rear.
