NV4500 oil.

NV4500 oil.
I just checked with the local chrysler dealer..giving him the PN written on the side of my transmission (1994 ram) he told me he could order this per case only..he suggested a replacemen wich is a 75-140 synthetic oil apparently recommended as a substitute to the first number I gave him.I turned around and checked with the GM dealer giving him the GM PN also written on the side of the transmission..he has also a replacement number but guarantees me it does correspond to the caracteristics of the original PN product. He tells me it is a 75-85 syntethic product..
Anybody here could tell me what viscosity is the recommended oil to use? Is it a syntethic product? The 75-140 product sounds heavy specially for colder climates?
Tell me what you think?
thanks,
Ron.

Parts guys don't always know what they are talking about. And you don't have to buy it by the case. The ONLY reccomended oil is the Castrol product, it is a good product, and it is synthetic.
Many run the Amsoil, but I use the SynTorque.

Use only Castrol Snytorq, buy it by the gallon here http://www.standardtransmission.com/dodge.html
