Newbie mpg

Hey! I am the proud new owner of a stock 1995 2500 2wd auto regular cab with 4.10 gears and 190K miles. I plan to use the truck mostly for towing 7K-12K lbs on the highway. I am looking for ways to get the best mpg I can. I don't want to spend thousands as that would defeat my purpose of trying to save some money. I am looking for the most cost effective and beneficial things I can do to squeeze 2-4 mpg more out of the truck. Also, when it comes time to replace the tires, what are the tallest and narrowest tires I can get for the truck that will fit in order to bring the rpms down and improve mileage. Thanks for the help!!

A good box like the xzt+ would be nice, but those 4:10's are gonna hurt you in the mpg department. Being a 2wd though, you wont have as much cost in regearing to 3:55 like me with the 4x4.

scratch the xzt+ upgrade, it won't work on a 12 valve cummins. Although that does work great on 24 valve! (98.5-02) there are a few thing a guy can do for pretty much free to get more power/mpg from your truck. I don't know much about the 12 valve motors, but someone will chime in with some good info...
