New turbo time

Well for those who havnt read my misfortune in the engine and drivetrain forum, some shavings from the pyro install must have found their way to the exhaust impeller and chewed up the blades upon a brief start and shutdown. I am being told they can not be fixed so I am looking for suggestions on a new aftermarket turbo.
Any suggestions, I am not up on the turbo stuff as I had not planned on doing this upgrade for a good while yet. Plans for the truck will be a Smarty, intake, tranny work, possibly fuel delivery. I do not plan on going extreme just would like to end up around 500hp when complete.

Theres gotta be someone who wants to throw in their opinion. I am in need of a turbo and would like to get one ASAP but from reading all the posts on these things I am as confused as ever. Seeing alot of use of the SPS62/14, who makes it?

I am headed in the same direction and would like some turbo input too...

I know folks have their personal favorites, but why?? What makes that personal choice better and based on what observations?

I have been thinking Aurora 2000 or 3000-- Phat Shaft 62-- that new SS 62/13-- Others? What is best all around and including heavy towing as well as "fun -go fast"

Well I will say that they are not that fragile and should not have eaten itself with a few shavings from the thermocouple install.

You do not have any mods listed other then gages so that must be why you think you trashed it but what other indications did you have?

As far as the new replacement turbo goes I would replace with stock until you decided on the rest of the intake and exhaust mods you are planning.

Our Super B line of turbos has the ability to support horsepower and still maintain excellent driveability. We are also the only one that can offer a factory Borg Warner warranty as well.

Hummm,

i'm thinking get a factory take off like the one vzdude found on Ebay, install it and retain your factory warranty.

It's kinda sneaky but it could just work......

Good luck
