It all depends on what you want out of your truck and how much you want to spend.

3k springs would help...Also do a check on the throttle linkage and check you shutoff switch(make sure its pulling all the way)...

im with diesel dave on the 3k springs but i would throw in a #6 fuel plate or even take it out. the springs will help you rev more freely and the fuel plate will give you the power to get there. oh and dont forget to turn up the boost.

Grind a 10 or 100 plate, move ur afc and starwheel forward, and do a 3gsk, that will be a good start

Doesn't sound right. You shouldn't have to floor it to get to 70. Check for boost leaks and fuel pressure. Maybe rear brakes are grabbing?

I agree, trouble shoot what's wrong before you go trying to get more power.

How high can you rev it in neutral? I'd reccomend checking the fuel pressure and boost.

And if you want more power you need gauges. I think they are a good investment on a stock truck for troubleshooting.

i have the auto (doubt it is that much different in high gear) and my truck bone stock would top out at 75mph b/c of all the restrictions on it and wouldnt even maintain speed up a mountain with NO LOAD. did a fuel plate and gauges (gsk is next) and now i can pick up speed on the same mountain without goin anywhere near full throttle.

Free... Gotta love it.

Oh and check out RPMOutlet.com for some gauges. Last time I checked they had some good deals going.

Whatever you do don't totally remove the fuel plate! Always before modding ensure everything is working as it should. Replace the fuel fiter, ensure no fuel leaks, KDP (do a search and tab it). Inspect the throttle spings, I'd even suggest timing and valve adj. Then mod away, mods always seem to gain alot more when you have a strong base to start with. If your truck is a manual tranny don't expect the stock clutch to hold very much more over stock power range.

The rear axle comes with either a 3.54 or 4.10 driveshaft to wheel ratio. The Dodge service manual is the best I've heard but my Haynes has served me very well. Stay away from Chilton.
