new commander and xzt mod.
well its all installed not a bad job. 4.5 hours with alot of bsing going on.love the a-piller mount really looks great.instructions could be better but ok. you need to install the xzt first then the commander because of taps into wires no big deal, look at your perimeters first default will not let xzt come on i think! commander could use a 2nd page to flip to so you can see rest of pers.as far as the xzt easy install. over all was it worth the money hmmm commander yes !! xzt not real sure got 18.8 mpg 210 miles at 65 mph same trip but back with everthing installed got 17.4 both hand cal. egt where avg 550,trans temp.110,fuel pres.3,boost was 4 maybe these numbers will help find something wrong. sorry so long but wanted all the info out there thanks matt

I've had mine installed for 4 or 5 weeks now and I like it, and think it was well worth the money. Unlike everyone else I wasn't expecting to see big mpg gains. I wanted it for extra towing power without having to upgrade my transmission. Good luck with yours.

I would make sure you take into consideration if you had a strong head wind or not also. our trucks are not the most aerodynamic machines. I can see a 2mpg difference with a good head wind or tail wind.

Also, did one way have more slope down hill? It's not a vailid test in my opion unless it's the same streach of road going the same direction. As mentioned above, the slightest things can make your MPG go down. I believe that's why most people on the boards would say unless your testing 2 tanks of fuel it's not a vaild compairision.

I take it you can turn the xzt on and off with the commander? The commander is on my list next. I love my xzt, just gives my truck a little extra for hauling the hay burners down the road. I can tell though that a stnd box or race box are in my future, right after I can get the tranny done.
