need help re: fuel pumps

I have a 2000 Ram 2500 with the 24V cummins. I love this truck! Has been modified with an aftermarket turbo, EDGE attitude booster, and the fuel pump is an aftermarket system- not sure what is but just had it checked and it appears to be going bad bc when I get below a half tank of fuel my edge goes nuts and gives me the alert-"fuel psi alert" and my pressure drops to around 13. The after market system was installed by Shane West, Wicked Diesels, according to the guy I bought the truck from in June 2008. It has 116, 000 original miles. It puts out about 500 horsepower and to be a 4X4 I get an avg. of 24.1 miles to the gallon. I have been trying to find a fuel pump for it with the one filter but all I can seem to locate is the 2 filter system. I know I need a heavy duty pump. The pump has been re-routed and it by-passes the smaller fuel filter separator that is located under the hood. I believe the only fuel/water separator is the one located under the pump itself, which is mounted under the bed just behind the cab. Any suggestions? Does this sound like a fuel pump problem. The injection system was checked and they look fine. Thanks! CP

The below 1/2 tank fuel problem sounds line a feed problem from the tank. If a draw straw was installed you might check and see which style of draw straw was installed. The DS1 installs in the module and the DS11 ( I believe) installs separately in the tank. Draw Straws have been known to cause low tank problems if not installed right.

Another cause may be with the module itself. Plugged up filtering screens can create problems.
