My new 5 inch exhaust

So I had those 5 inch stacks laying around and tried to sell them a few times and people would email etc but ended up still layin around. So now with a bit of modification I got my 5 inch exhaust back!!

I know what is gonna be said, anything I tow will be covered in soot. I haul steel for welding, steel for junk and that's about it. The two 5 inch holes also serve well as steps to get in the back of the truck!!

heres a vid...

Gotta get another short piece of 5 inch or a 45 and get back up under there and do some modifications yet, smoke tends to favor the right side(straight shot more or less) Need to tie in further down the line and take out some angle on the left.

That's awesome! I'm actually trying to decide whether to go 5 inch stacks, or 5 inch duals straight back (homemade). Very rare to have a diesel around here with dual exhaust, especially straight back and not slanted off to the side.

Nice sound!

I had an old 70 Ford converted to a flatbed dually and had headers on it. I bought some 3" pipe and brought them straight out the back on it in duals, they were only about 18-24" apart, kinda like these and it sounded awesome.

I did'nt want to fool with getting 5" custom bent, or paying lots of money. Plus I thought it would be unique. I thought about having something done over the holes, painted like "Coal Holes" but then I realized the machine shop at school has one of those CAD machines where they can cut out fancy stuff so I might have them cut out the words in stainless and then just pop it on there about in the middle.

My friend said most won't even know they are there until it starts spitting smoke at them!
