Motor Squeal

Need some help! I was towing my buddys jeep last nite and noticed a squealing sound from the motor. It only happens when lightly accelerating and or slight throttle, and 2-5# of boost. It't not a real loud squeal eighter. Could it be the turbo taking a poop? or a bearing in the turbo? Am I just parinoid?

It could be just a loose or leaky boot/clamp on the discharge side of the turbo. Or it could be an accessory on the front of the engine going south. If you don't find a leaky boot, pop off the belt and spin the altenator, fan, idler pulley and the water pump. Pay particular attention to the feel of the bearings even though you might not hear a noise. To check the turbo, just ease off the inlet hose and spin it with your fingers. It should spin freely and have zero end play or axial play. If it is the turbo, now might be a good chance for an upgrade.
