You either drill a hole at the lowest point in the system for it to drain, or liquefied-soot goes all over everything around. Ive heard of people covering the stacks with buckets or coffee cans when it rains though...

I have them and I haven't noticed that it does much. You might get soot blown all over your truck when you start it, but drill a drain hole and you should be o.k.

I have 2 5" mitre cuts on mine and I love them. You can take a bucket or something to cover them up with or drill a hole. The soot isnt that bad on mine, but I have a black truck, but you can always wash it off. I have also seen some flappers for mitres but they are like $75 a piece.

i LOVE my stacks. The only complaint is that they aint loud enough! and yes, on startup you will blow black water all over the place. Or at least i do. so my truck is kinda a grayish color...
dosnt bother me though! shes a work truck and thats what i use it for. However i would use a set of "clappers" if i could find them at a decent price for miters.....
