Megacab LONGBED SRW pic's!!!!!!
So I'm cruising down the road today with DTR member Deavy Huty and I see a Megacab long bed SRW siting on the side of the road!!
so we turned around to snap some phone photo's!!
It was not done yet it was only at this shop for the lift.
The pic in the middle shows how much longer it is then a 05 QC longbed or a stock megacab..
I also grabbed a tape and measured the wheelbase it was-181" compared to a stock mega with a 160" wheelbase this thing is SOOOOOOOO long in person!!!!!

last 3, more plating and cross member shot's.
we also measured the frame addition and they added 21" worth of box tubing. witch is right based on the wheelbase measurement.
the guy at the shop told me that the guy who owned it also owned a construction company and he had the guy who repairs his backhoe buckets build it for him.
It also had a 7" lift.

I agree needs to be a DRW. Also I wonder why the splice plate is not fully welded out? I would think it would be a place for rust to start between the plates. I can see a stitch weld if they were concerend with vibration starting a crack in the weld but to just leave 1 spot open? The fab work looks very good on it though alot of time was spent doing it right.

That truck would look incredble with 37" toyo mts, dont know why DC doesnt make those trucks, it would be a hot item up here for oilfield crews.
When a frame is extended and fish plated like that, its very common to not weld the vertical seam. Has to do with heat input. To much weld is sometimes weaker then to little.
