low speed shudder noise from rearend while braking, almost at a complete stop

So I have a 2004 2500 4x4 and i have recently noticed a shudder noise while braking and almost at a complete stop, Checked u-joint and it looks tight, thinkin it might be a brake pad, or brake disc trouble. While braking at a higher speed no noise but noise starts when truck is just about stopped, almost like a warped brake disc or something. Any one had similar troubles or noises, any info would be appreciated, thanks
Troy

mine is making a similar noise which i think is from a rear seal leaking gear oil onto the rear disc. i have not spent much time trying to figure out exactly what is going on, just thought i would give you some ideas.

Generally a warped rotor will cause the steering wheel to shimmy during braking. I would check brakes first then possibly the hub next.

Rear most U-joint on rear drive shaft. Do a search for this. I just did one on my truck and my advice is to pull the shaft and pay someone else to do it. Replace both joints while you've got it out. Some stuff is worth broken vices and busted knuckles. This job is not!
