How LITTLE lift for crossover steering?

I am about to lift the 93 Ive got, and Im thinkin just some 2.5 Skyjackers and good Bilstien shocks all around with some minor trimming for some 35/12.5/17 Mickey Thompson MTZ radials. I despise the steering systen these trucks have, can I do crossover with only 2.5 of lift, or do I have to go to 4 inches??
(just easier not ot have to touch the back right now, and Im not stackin lift blocks as the stock ones are 6" tall already!)
Thanks

You know, an idea strikes me. I order my fancy smancy high steer arm from Mad4wd, and its not reamed for the draglink/tie rod end. Is there room enough for me to ream it from the bottom up?? This may work, but in my mind I see serious drag link end to spring contact..........
