Lift Kit for the 2004.5

I have look around and cant seem to find one, but I am looking for at least a 10 inch lift kit for my 2004.5 2500 QC 4wd. Id like to put some 39.5's on my truck and get it up in the air. Anyone have any info on where to get one or where I can get some info on one? Thanks!

That will be real hard....

You best bet is a Skyjacker or Tuff 6" lift stacked with a 3" body lift.

Good luck

go to kelderman and get an air lift. They can get you your 10", plus it will handle better then stacked lifts. I think the kits run around $4000

Are you suggesting my "stacked lift" does not handle well? Actually, it rides better now than brand new OEM condition. Maybe you should try one before you trash talk...

I might just try the Kelderman system. I'll got to call them and see if they offer or if the 2003 kit will work on the 2004.5. If not, it looks as though I will go with the "stacked" lift kit. Cquest, do you have a stacked lift? If so, how big and do you think you could fit some 39.5 18.5's on it? Thanks guys, I'll keep you posted on any updates and will put pics up as soon as I get it done!

I have a Tuff Country 4.5" lift...Maybe I missunderstood. I do not have a body lift stacked with it. I though the stacked comment was refering to spacers that are used with the OEM front springs....never mind.

I could not fit 37's with the wheel backspacing choice I made. My guess is that 12" of lift or more will be required to use 39's...especially if they are that wide. You will have to keep the entire wheel out of the fender. If you really drive you truck offroad...this will be real hard. The suspension on these trucks flex quit a bit allowing fairly significant wheel travel. It will take trial and error I am sure.

I just put the 6 inch lift (Superlift) on my 2003 2500 and I love it! The ride is as close to stock as you can get. Actually, it's hard to even notice the difference in ride quality from stock to this lift.

I only have 35's on it now and while it doesn't look too bad, 37's would make it look a lot better. I was at the shop a few days ago and they pulled a new Toyo M/T in a 37x13.50R20 mounted on a Diamo 8 Karat wheel and bolted it up just to tease me. It worked! Now I'm saving my pennies for a set of Toyo's.

I was never a real big fan of the 20 inch wheel on a 4x4 but now that I have seen them (on my own truck), I'm sold. 18's would look pretty sweet too.

I've looked at both 10 inch kits from Whiplash and Full Throttle. If I had to pick a 10 inch kit, I would also sacrafice the extra inch and do a 6 inch lift with a three inch body lift. My last truck (Chevy 2500 HD) had a 12 inch Whiplash. While I didn't have any mechanical problems, it was just too friggin' big and I got real tired of getting pulled over for mud flaps.

Anyway, if it were me, I'd vote for the 6/3 combo with a set of the 37 inch Toyo's. The 38's might fit but, they are 15.50 inches wide and require a wider wheel...making them stick way out from the side of the truck...more mud flap tickets...rock chips...ya da, ya da, ya da. Pics of my truck are in my gallery.

Hope I helped.

Chad
