I have never heard a bad thing said about JR's Lil 55. In fact there was a 5 page thread over on TDR praising it!

If you blew your stock turbo pushing to much boost then I don't think you will have any problems spooling/running a Lil 55. JR modifies them so they spool just like similar smaller chargers, but they move A LOT of air!
Compaired to the two HTT turbos you mentioned, there is no comparison JR's flows more air.

I want one myself, but it will be next year before I get one.

If you start running upwards of 40+ PSI a lot then yeah I would start worrying about blowing the HG. Studs is a good precaution, however not cheap @ $425-450 a set. Although installation is a breeze with broached allen head studs now from Haisley's or ARP.

I've heard that the 24V HG's tend to be a little tougher than the 12V's though, probably due to the VP pump not being able to fuel as hard as a P7100 pump. I would try to keep it down to around 40-42PSI.

do you order these right from JR or is there a vendor somewhere...

whats the basic price range they run in?

i wanna get this turbo (ive heard great things) with a comp and my DD3's after the new clutch...looking for a lil over 400hp

what kinda modifications have to be made to the intake or exhaust to adapt this turbo in place of a stock unit??

i am running a stock hx55 right now, i wish i had the bucks to have a adkins version. mine is a lag pig, but once it lights, hold on. the hx55 will move some serious air. i have a 19cm exhaust housing on mine and from a dead stop it will hit 1500 degrees at 120mph and is still pulling like a freight train. i just wish i had jr do his majic with a smaller housing. i have been waiting for someone around here to get one so i could go for a ride.

i have 370s and a #100 style plate with a 215 pump. so i have a good bit more fuel than you. 0 to 120 mph tkes 15 or 20 seconds in my truck, that is a long time to hold something wide open. i think you will be real happy with the egts, the 55 moves a lot of air.

That includes a HX-40 downpipe & clamp...if needed. $150.00 less without.

Got Smoke...Thanks! Tried "J R Adkins"...and "Little 55 Turbo"...with no success.
