Invalid VIN ?

Hello, I have been a long time lurker but first time poster.

I have a 2006 2500 Megacab with the Cummins and my engine light came on when starting it up last monday evening and stayed on till weds. night. took it to the dealer friday morning to check it out and oil change and when I went to pick it up they told me the couldnt read it and they also tried updating some tsbs the had on it and couldnt do those either something about anytime they tried it always came back "invalid VIN". They told me they have calls into dodge and will get back to me on it next week. Just wondering if anyone heard of such things?

When I registered my truck they said my VIN was invalid...Some how a "6" was mistakenly entered as a "G".

They'll figure it out.

When I bought my 96 a couple weeks ago the insurance company kept telling me my VIN # was invalid. After giving them the number 4 or 5 times I photo copied the title and sent it to them. I havent heard back since so hopefully that took care of it.
