Im an idiot....

Well, I got everything i needed for my fuel pressure guage install yesterday. So this morning I got up early and went out to tackle it before it got hot. I got everything installed and went to fire it up, turned the key and nothing. No fire, no fuel pressure.... I was like well, Ill cycle it a few times more....Still nothing Im like edit!!! Im sitting there in the cab going over everything I did. I was thinking well, maybe my lift pump is dead...

Then it came to me... Before I replaced the banjo, I put a pair of kelly clamps on the fuel line so i wouldn't get a big spill..

Took the clamp off and I had 8 psi at idle. Guess ill be ordering a big line kit and a walbro...

Thought you all would like a good laugh...

I left the drain plug out of the engine in my '79 malibu coupe. I just finished rebuilding the motor and dumped all 5 quarts of new castrol onto the ground. No damage, but one heck of a good mess to clean up.

I'm with ya. It happens to the best of us sometimes, and all the time to my dumb***

We've all been there. I've done too many stupid things to list here. Especially when I was younger and always in a hurry. I think I've learned to chill out a bit, take my time, go over everything in my head and not screw up anymore. At least I hope...

I built a $5000 440Hp motor for my 70 Super Bee and fired it up. I was all excited because it just sounded awesome. I let it run and run until I noticed it was getting a little hot. I shut it down and realized I had forgotten to put the antifreeze in!!! I warped both of my very expensive heads in the process........

I did the same thing doing an oil change but here is my best stupid moment. After a long hot day of racing we returned home later than expected. We had plans that evening and so were trying to hurry. Got the trailer backed in, unstrapped the car, jumped in, started her up, put her in gear, eased out the clutch, started off the trailer, and WHAM! - dough! - forgot the ramps . Dropped it right down on the frame. Had to finaggle a jack under it - not easy - and get it up enough to get the ramps in place. Needless to say, my "hurrying" didn't save any time. Luckily it didn't do any damage.

Listening to my wife read of a list of items to grab while I was at the store, I opened the door on my quad cab, managed to climb 3/4 the way in before realizing the steering wheel was not there. I was in the back seat. DUH.

Its a little long but a good story.

I have this S-10 durango that needed moved from the base to my house and it was completly dead so I asked a buddy if he would help me and he had already rented a tow dolly for me to pull his car with, so he agreed and it got worse from there.

Well we had to tow the truck from the back cause there wasnt any room infront of the truck to hook up the dolly...so we spend 20minutes getting this thing up on the dolly and we go to leave, we make a hard right and well the front end tried to swing out like a skier behind a boat, thank God there was a curb there and it didnt go out into traffic, so I kick out the buddy to straighten up the wheels and sit in the truck to hold the wheel so i didnt happen again, the whole time im thinking screw it lets just pull over in a parking lot and turn the truck around the right way, but I was almost home and I thought "It will be ok, Ive done this before" well we get it clear across base out the other side and we stop at a light, it turns green and I take off, well me and the traler went, the truck well... didnt. Im pretty much in the intersection now thinking OH @@@! I hop out and the buddy gets out and were messing our selves thinking what the @@@@ do we do, well we pushed the truck back up on the dolly but it didnt go, stopped about half way up and rolled back down, so on the second try we really gave her hell, and you know the little tire stopper thing thas supposed to stop the car well... it didnt. and now the back tires a on the far side of the tire support and almost hit my truck. So now where really freaking out thinking what the @@@@?!?! we say to hell with it and decide to just go, buddy hops in the truck through the window cause the door wont open now, and we take off, the rest of the trip was uneventful. Thank God.

To get the truck off the dolly we had to complete deflate the trailer tires remove the trucks tires, and the brake rotors and play with it to finally get it out. Needless to say 3+ hours spent trying to get the dolly back,

To top it off I got some picks, enjoy
