I'm a dirty old man

Ok, I'm not all that old (late 30s) but I AM dirty. And so is my truck. It rarely gets a cleaning, especially on the inside. But since memorial day around here brought cold rain and snow to the mountains, we decided to stay home and I took the opportunity to give the interior of my truck a thorough cleaning.

One area that has always had an accumulation of dirt was on the door where I always rest my left arm while driving. I was having a heck of a time getting YEARS worth of dirt and grime off when my lovely wife (bless her heart) suggested trying some of her Chlorox disinfectant wipes. She says they're great at getting dirt off of surprising difficult surfaces. And with 3 young kids at home, she would know! So I gave it a shot and it worked like a charm. I finished off the area with some STP spray.

Anyway, for those of you with dirty, greasy areas on the interior you may try this.

Good to know.

I have good luck getting grime off using Simple Green on a wash rag.

Another is lemon Pledge. It protects the dash/doors/plastics/vinyls really well and smells good

The grab handle gets most of my dirt. The pledge will make the surface really slick and dirt doesn't stick as easily, but I would not use it on the grab handle.

Same here. I didn't know how bad mine was until we killed the third roll of paper towels.
