IAT sensor?

Does this seem excessively dirty for 40,000 miles?

Re:IAT sensor?

Not qaulified or have the experience to say it is excessive but mine was better looking at 160k. I use diesel clean fuel additive to help with lubing the injection pump and aint sure if that could be keeping my sensors a little cleaner. Also, I have very little smoke at any time or under any load. Hope that helps yuh out a bit. I doubt you should be worried about it. Just clean it up, put it back in and then clean it on a regular scehdule(your choosing for how often). I am going to do mine every 30k miles or once a year. God bless and happy trucking.

Re:IAT sensor?

I have not had a chance to test the IAT yet. I just replaced it with a new one.

I use fuel additive every fill up.
