Does this seem like a good deal, its a club cab and apparently it was only used occasionally on an old man's farm. I'm just trying to figure out whether or not its worth the 8 hour drive to pick it up and drive it home.

Going by the vin it's a 98 12 valve Quad Cab.

Is it a Quad Cab or really a Club Cab? The vin shows it's a Quad.

I paid more for my 98QC 12v with 71000 mi.

thank you JSX.Man they are only 18,000 for it. I guess if it's not beat the heck up from being on a farm.

I was told that it was a 1998 club cab (they said that the rear doors didn't open) but then again I have yet to have a used car salesman tell me the truth about any car that I have called about. As far as the body goes I gathered that it has a little bit of custom pinstripping by brush (then again what 4wd doesnt) other than that it might have a few chips from gravel or what not from the road, something that I suspect to be normal for about any car.

Hopefully I will be able to get into contact with the owner tonight and find out the real skinny on the truck and the maintenance history, then I should know whether or not I have a road trip ahead of me this weekend

actually, after further inspecting the pic I can see where the rear doors should open (I see some space lines in the body instead of being solid after the driver and passenger doors) so it is a quad cab , even better than I had hoped.

looks pretty good........but you ll need about 1000-2000 for mods...

guages
KDP....
4000gsk
exhuast
BHAF
timing

Save up for a clutch......and 5 th falling off or a 5600 conversion (not cheap, Im doing mine right now)

On a side note, if you get it, check out the carrier bearing, 98s are bigger, so maybe hunt one down and hold on to it till you need it. Same goes for the fuel relay, starter contacts, fuel lines....

I wouldn t even consider selling mine for less then 25-30.....with 196k.....but i love it
