Gauges and Mounts

Gauges and Mounts
Iwas wondering what all of you guys are using for mounts on the 03? Also do you know where a guy can get some used gauges at? I'd like to put some in my 03. Thanks.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
Re:Gauges and Mounts
Used gauges are probably scarcer than hen's teeth. Good luck in your search. Have you looked on e-bay?
As for mounts, there is not a lot out there for the '03's yet. Due to this I am presently making my own dash pod. Should have it finished by the end of September and will post some pics.

Re:Gauges and Mounts
I just installed the Di Pricol gauges in a Pro Pod in my 03. I am pretty happy with the results. The gauges match the factory ones, including the lighting. Although, the EGT gauge's lighting is a little bright compared to the rest of the gauges. Check the link in my sig for pics.

I got the set up from Dave at Diesel Power Products. $290 for boost and EGT gauges, all the wiring and senders, and the Pro Pod painted to match the factory color.

Re:Gauges and Mounts
I mounted my gauges using a 02 dash pod. I just took the Dremel to the bottom plate to take off some edges and it looks fine. The guages I used look good during the day, but the lights illumination on the new gauges are more of a blue then the dash gauges, just a small difference. Over all I am very happy with the install.

I mounted mine in the 98-02 dash pod as well; just couldn't get rid of the A-pillar handle... Check my webpage for the pictures.

http://www.geocities.com/tobyw2000/Ramgauges.html

I had a pillar mount on my 01 dodge, didn't have the 02 long enough to get them put on it. For the 03 I really didn't want to chop the handel , went to my local installer to check out an install he was doing on an 03 2500 and it made a convert out of me. had him install a BD Zbox electronic the next day on mine. ya gotta love it, out of the way , easy to read, fast reacting, and other good stuff
Do they have a website? Do you have pictures? I don't want to hack off my handle either. Thanks, Wade

Re:Gauges and Mounts
I actually brought something in a couple days back that may be of interest to 03 owners. Its the ProPods "Wedgee" dash mount unit, and it doesn't look too bad at all. I took some pictures scrunched down in my seat (the customer that was inquiring is 5'5" and it doesn't block view, and is readily visible. I think I'll be moving away from my IssPro gauge cups, and using the Wedgee.
