Fuse for cruise?
I'm trying to track down a cruise problem and can't seem to locate the fuse. Is it with another circuit or am I getting blind?

If I recall correctly, I think it's one of the fuses in the power dist center in the engine compartment. Pull the cover off it and check the legend on the bottom side to see which one supplies the cruise. If it's not there then it has to be in the fuse panel on the driver's side of the instrument panel (dash). This one also have a legend showing which fuse is for what function.

Berner, I'll try to remember to pop the cover on the fuse panel on the side of my dash tomorrow morning to see if there's a cruise specific fuse and let you know what I find and where. I'll try to post this info after I get to work, about 8:00 CST.

Clockspring maybe...
Check for loose grounds too...
From what I remember about that... I think the cruise and engine controller are one and the same. But this is a wild guess in the dark...

The cruise on my 96 wasn't working,it turned out to be a broken wire where the steering colum pivots.I removed the knee bolster and you could see it in a bunch of wires coming from the colum.Hope it helps.

I also lost cruise once and didn't have my SM with me. Like you I couldn't locate a fuse labled "cruise" but went ahead and reseated all of them and then had cruise again so one of them must have been the culprit. I had just done the power window mod and had had fuses pulled was the reason I suspected a fuse problem. Looking in the SM it looks like the cruise is controlled by the ECM and there is no fuse specifically for the cruise. I wonder if pulling the fuse for the ECM might have reset it? Not had a problem since in about 30,000 miles.
