Fuel guage fun
I noticed something funny at my last fill up.
Put your trip computer on the DTE setting before you fill your truck, turn off engine & fill with fuel.
When you turn the key back on you can watch the DTE go higher as the fuel guage slowly makes it's way to the full mark.
I thought that was interesting but I was pretty bored!! : ;D

DTE? :

If you have the trip computer there are diffrent functions,
AVG ECO (average economy),
DTE (drive till empty)
ODO (Odometer)
HR (Hours~since reset not engine hours)
Temp & compass
Blank screen (off)
On my Dakota if I was almost empty & filled up the needle on the fuel guage went straight to full as soon as I turned the key on.
On my Ram the needle slowly moves from empty to full.
I was scrolling thru the diffrent functions after filling up & noticed the DTE said 50 miles on a full tank!!
I thought something was broken, I looked at the fuel guage & it was barely above empty & slowly climbing, the farther the needle moved the higher the DTE read.
It was diffrent than my old truck & it was kinda amusing. :

Well,
My fuel guage quit working once, had it fixed, now it doesn't work again. > >. She goes in to the dealer again for repair on Wednesday.
