I was just wondering if the 1st gen 12 Valves have the KDP issue.

I might take a look at a 1993 LE fully loaded 2WD.

And if there is anything else you can tell me about this model year...I would be greatful.

yeppers - same deal as the second gen 12V's

 

Also, from what I've heard, they're more prone to the housing bolts loosening and falling out like the KDP and causing the same damage. That's why they say re-check the torque on the bolts while your in there when your doing the fix for the KDP. I think the problem with the bolts was no lock-tite type product was used on the bolts in the 1st gens. The 2nd gens were supposed to have some type of lock-tite used to correct the problem the 1st gens suffered from.
