How far can a 180 pump go?
Looking at doing a p-pump conversion on the 24v, since that 12v I was trying look at just isn't panning out. So time to ask the experts. Anyway, found two sources for 180 hp pumps of 98 trucks. I know finding a 215 would be a ideal, but just doesn't seem to be in the cards right now. I tried searching this, but didn't have much luck
So to the point, how much can a 180 hp pump put down and still have decent manners? My truck as it sits probably puts down around 350-375 hp (we'll know for sure next weekend). The one pump I'm looking at already has a #8 plate and 3k GSK in it. Am I gonna be about par swapping them, or need more fuel to get back to where I was. My end goal at this point is probably 600 hp, but that will be over time. Thanks for any info.

There are alot of people that make 400-500+ on a 180 pump. Look up Bobcat698, his truck is one the side of over fueled, and he puts down around 500. His truck is a 12valve thought. just my 2cents
