Edge towing

I am not sure how to ask this and I hope my question makes sense. I have an Edge 4 stage, with the elbow, in my 2003. I expect a little more EGT and boost is up from 23lbs to 30+lbs. Can I tow on the upper setting ( 3 or 4) without developing too much boost or EGT? Can I just light foot it, and control those limits or will those values always be high because of the higher setting?

Do you have aEGT gauge? It is a must...just drive by that and you wil answer your own question. All trucks, loads, applications, elevations, etc. are different.

I'll be running my 03 SO with the Bullydog programmer on the 130 setting tonight. I'll post my results tomorow. I know they are different but I'm confident if you drive sensibly (A.K.A. don't floor it from every stop) I'm sure it will be good. Not the best test in the world since the air is cold and I'm only towing 25 miles tonight but I'm just getting this thing going. I put the Outlook in yesterday.

I recently towed 11,000lb with my EZ on level 5 and my EGTs never went above 1000 degrees. I did not tow over any mountains but I did hit a couple of hills. A EGT guage is a must if you're going to tow with the fueling box and most mfrs suggest the lower levels while towing. I've done a lot of work to keep my EGTs down and it appears to have worked but other people have seen EGTs of 1500 degrees while towing, hence the need for a guage. It sure pulls nice with that box set way up..
