Dyno results...04 and 04.5.

1/6/08 Meridian Motorsports 2:00 pm 50 degrees and Sunny! All numbers are uncorrected...

Good news on the 04.5...

04.5 with Auto, 3.73's, and 35's. Hot Juice, MP-8, HTB2, Flux Beta Mileage Injects, GDP lift pump kit, AFE Intake, Filter, and Torque Tube with a 4" exhaust.

Run 1: Juice off, MP-8 off...just Flux injectors. 298 hp / 552 ft-lbs

Run 2: Juice 4-4, MP-8 at 50%.... 492 hp / 998 ft lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is the daily driver settings...nice smooth...tows great. No temp problems!

Run 3: Juice 5-4, MP-8 at 50%.... 526 hp / 1050 ft lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little hp was wasted...smoke almost cleaned up...but temps are ok for a 1/4mile.

This is a great combo with a TC and a VB! Fast, nice to drive...and lots of bang for the buck.

So so news on the 04...boooohooo.

Mods in sig...

Run 1: Smarty SW9 and the MP8 on 50%...no TST... 627 hp / 1260 tq

Hp was over 600 from 2800 rpms to 3500 rpms! Nice curve...

But Runs 2-5: Only worse...I have do not have enough pump to make more. I need to get to the bottom of my Floor it Stage 2...maybe it's a Stage 1?

I want dual pumps bad!

What was your rail pressure since you think you were draining the rail???? Good numbers though on both trucks.

Well like you said a second pump will be close to getting you there.
I'm shooting for 750-800 this spring.

You def need dual pumps on the big truck. Take the stock pump off the 04.5 and put the stage 1 pump on there and use two stock dodge pumps in a dual setup on the big truck.

CQ, Great numbers on the 04.5...I hate those 600's...too easy to make power!!

Yep, 627 with a Stage 2 isn't bad....with those twins and Flux 3.3's 750 would be a gimme with some pump power...what were the rail and feed pressures like. Beta 4.x might have gotten

Who built your tranny last time?

Keep up the good work!! Kerry

Switching from a stage 2 pump to twin stock pumps netted me almost 65hp. With Flux 3.3s, twin cp3s and only slightly bigger twins than yours I got 824 hp. This is on my 06. I am building my 04 (555 motor) now for 1000hp on #2 alone. I know 03-04 need more injector than the 05-06 engines. Testing will be starting soon, I am starting with the same size things I used on the 06 to get 875hp to see what the real loss is ,between 555 and 600 cummins is. Then go up from there to reach my goal. Good luck getting 750, twin pumps should get you close. Tim

You just need the Smarty race tune. I made 648 on John's stage 1 pump and I don't have near the mods you have. Not saying I did it effeciently (intercooler was too hot to touch) , but just saying it's not the pump holding you back unless something is wrong with it.

Nice job on the 04.5. Very similar to my results, which means it's probably a fairly consistent and reliable set up for any 04.5.

It is the pump holding him back. The smarty race tunes will help, but will not get a 04 to 750hp with a single stage 2 pump. A 04.5 -06 maybe but not a 04. Tim

I didn't say anything about 750hp. Although I realize that's the goal. But the pump is not what is holding him down to 627 when I made more than that with a stage 1 with rail pressure at over 20k the whole pull.

omaha, his sticks are bigger and draining the rail easier, i was stuck in the lower 600 range with one modded cp3, i gained over 100 hp adding the 2nd cp3. nice #'s though.
