Hey guys Iam in the middle of getting ready to oder my new steering gear box and also the dss stabilizer but I got to thinking I have a front reciver hitch on my truck and it looks like the stabilizer wont work cause of the hitch? any one have the stabilizer and the front hitch. From what i can see the stabilizer ties the frame rails together and so does a front reciver hitch correct me if iam wrong please

 

The DSS attaches to the frame by sliding under the front sway bar and using those holes to be fastened.

I haven't personally seen a front mounted hitch so I can't say that they will interefere, but I would suspect that they will.

Why don't you just give SSI a call and see what they think? They are fine folks up there and will set you straight on whether or not their product will work in conjunction with your hitch.

 

I had the DSS and Torklift Front Hitch on my 96'. No clearance issues at all.

 

Not that it matters much but I have a DSS on a 3rd gen with a front hitch...no issues.

 

Now there's one of the best excuses I've heard for going out and buying a new '06.
