What do I have, and what would you do?

My truck is in the sig.

I have a line on a complete Dana 60 front end (W/O CAD) but 3:55 for $600. I was thinking of doing a hub convertion on my truck, and if I do this I would change diffs to get rid of the CAD that I have. The question is do I change the rear to 3:55 or the keep the front 4:10? And I know I have a LS Dana 80 rear with 4:10 gears but what size are the gears? And what LS would I have? I was looking here trying to figure out how much gears or/and LS units are. Can some one tell me what parts fit in my Dana 80 to change to 3:55?

I would keep the 4.10s if you plan on increasing the tire height.

3.55's and 35's is a perfect combo for these trucks. I would swap the rear gears to 3.55 especially since you have a 6 spd. The autos are geared a bit lower in OD so 4.10's & 35's work well there, but with the 6 spd, 1800 rpm is 65 in 6th so you cant ask for any better highway RPM's.

To change to 3.55 you need a carrier and ring & pinion set because they are different sizes for 4.10.
