Lightbulb dies going down the road

ok my 93 12V is all stock easy start up stumbles for about 15 sec or so then fine but the kicker is can be driveing down the road and truck will shut down will restart and drive on fine and then it may or may not shut down again changed fuel filter even checked vac lines due to stumble some times when on brake in gear almost 20 Ibs of vac from vac pump to booster and the same to the cruse control unit has anyone had theses problem or ideas all the wires to the injector pump are good no play in wire do move an inch

If it starts right back up with no smoke then I would think electrical issue. Check for 12 volts to valve, you can remove valve and ground it apply 12 vots and see how it works. Be careful you donot drop spring or valve when removing. Valve comes as asy with valve and spring. You can remove valve and spring and reinstall but only way to shut down engine would be manual lever on side of injection pump. Check wires for chafing around brackets and fuel filter area.

there is a lil more smoke then norm when restarted i will check the volts also but with the moke what other causes could come to play i only have a day off this weekend and need ideas to get in back up to 100% the gaser poped the time belt so baby girls all we have at this time and both of us a blessed to be working at this point in time

I'm with bigiron...sounds like solenoid. When i got mine, it would randomly do the same thing. The end on the solenoid wire was bad and corroeded inside the wire.

The pump runs real rich at cranking speed by design. It's normal to get a puff of smoke on a warm start.
