Never hear of them but I would go Optima's or if you wanted to go stupid big on the CCA, Stinger has some like 1200 or bigger CCA. but not cheap

We use them at work for the fleet. Can't get more than 12-18 months out of them! I wouldn't even consider using them in my truck. Having a set of Interstates delivered before the first frost!

Well 80% of our vehicles are Dodge 3500 vans, and they just don't hold up for us. Different vehicles I guess? I just know I have had Interstates before last 10 years! ( Didn't buy it, just bought the truck with it and read the date code!)

I've run them for years. I buy their 1100 amp battery and have run it in my 93 2500, backhoe and skidsteer with no problems. Usually I get around 3 years and the last one cost me about $82.00.

My only rule of thumb with batteries is to get the most cca's you can that will fit in your battery box. Go to NAPA or where ever you trade and get a can of spray sealer. After you get everything where you want it and the connections tight, give them a good coating, wait about 15-30 minutes and spray them again. You should be good for at least a year.

When the OEM spec lasts almost 4 years now for me...why consider anything else? I even have killed them a couple times when my "tunage" got a little loud for extended periods drinking barley pops at all day rodeos...

I was told the stock dodge batteries are interstate batteries,I cannot vouch for this for sure but I for one have not had very good luck with the interstate brand batteries, plus I get 880 cca verses the stock 750 cca ,in cold climates it makes a difference on start up.coobie

I don't know about in a vehicle, but I have had experience with both company's deep cycle marine batteries in my bass boat . Been through 2 sets of Interstate batteries, 1st set only made it 16 months, got prorated, put in a second set that lasted the same. Deka's have been in 2 years and still going strong. All my friends use Deka's in their boats and all like them well. I will never buy another Interstate battery for anything I own. Tac

I think that battery life would depend on battery type and application used. Heat and vibration can have a large impact on battery life. I have had real good experiences with Optima batteries ( Interstate) they have outlasted every other battery I have ever used. They work real well in high vibration applications. Deka sells an AGM battery similar to the optima but not spiral cell design. The Deka intimidator series is supposed to have better resistance to vibration and higher capacity

Well I went through some batteries up in Alaska... The cold compounded with alternator issues doomed about 3-4 sets. The Optimas seem to be a good battery, but they are costly and at least the red tops don't produce the CCAs some of the old lead acids put out. I figure, if you need the space in the engine compartment (For the fords we move both batteries to one side in order to fit larger intakes systems in), then they are probably worth it. But I have found that best bang for the buck was what I shot for. Costco produces a 900 CCA battery with a 84 month warranty (12 month replacement) for $55.00 a battery. So, total was $110.00 instead of just at $300.00 for the optimas... Almost 3 sets worth...
