cruise control not working
cruise control not working
I spilled battery acid on the battery on the drivers side of my truck. I read here that there is a servo and vacum line under there that works the cruise what am i going to have to do to fix this?Where do i start? I read the manual but it did not say if i could take things apart and clean them or do i have to replace it all?
It's hard to say until you get in there. The first thing would be to check the vacuum line and make sure it is still intact and pulling vaccum at the servo. This is the most common problem. If the acid got into the servoce then you may need to replace it, around 45 bucks, if memory serves, at the dealer.
I assume you have already verified the electrical is working properly, e.g. the cruise light comes on in the dash.
The next thing, after the servo, would be a clock spring under the steering wheel. Never had to deal with it but others here have.
