What do you guys use to clean the glass on your trucks? Seem the windex and paper towels don't cut it on my truck. Too much streaks.

 

Windex and newspaper. Found nothing better!

How about trying windshield fluid (the blue stuff you put in the bottle under the hood) and a clean cloth towel.

Works for me!

 

Newspaper is the trick, then it really doesn't matter what type of cleaner you use.

 

Newspaper...wipe one way on the nside, the opther on the outside.

 

newspaper,windex or vinegar, coke, in the middle of nowhere to cut the road film when the rain is pounding and the wipers are just skipping over the grease.

Basic glass cleaner for me... I am just conservative with it; I have found the more that I use the more streaks I get, no matter what type of cleaner / cloth material I use

 

I make my own windex with the lemon ammonia from walmart,it cost 1.00 and there is enough to make a couple gallons or more so you can control how strong it is to cut the grease or whatever.It smells a little better than the clear but not as good as regular windex.run your water through the water filter is a good idea when you mix some up.I like to polish the glass up with rain x to it sure makes them shine.

 

ZEP window cleaner foam.....no streaks! I use it on all the chrome too.

 

I buy the ready too go windex wipes.....just wipe the glass, no matter what direction. Nice clean glass with no streaks

 

I use homemade glass cleaner that my dad makes up of ammonia, water and something else i cant remember at the moment, works amazing, very cheap to make too. But it is strong, really strong, in the shop, if Im cleaning the inside of my windows even with the doors open, it hits you like a tank the smell. Anyways, about the rain-x, I was wondering if it removes scratches in the windows, if not, is there a product out there that will?

 

try the lemon ammonia kid,it doesnt stink so bad.Rainx wont take out scratches,you might try some fine rubbing compound im not sure if it will do anything.

 

The best purchased window cleaner I have found is Invisable Glass. I have heard the Zep is good and my neighbor who works at a dealership claims the GM cleaner is great but never has let me try it.

 

Remember DON'T use on tinted windows! It will remove the tint from the glass... Opps... Found out the hard way...
