Bumper Sag

I know this is in an unorthodox post but i just cant help it. Does any body have any sugestions about how to keep the bumpers on our 2nd gens from sagging like they always seem to do. I glanced at it the other day and really couldn't figure out what i needed to adjust or replace. It doesnt really effect anything i gues but its just so dam annoying. Thanks for any replies guys i appreciate the help.

If you look close it seems like they're all on lopsided.
Shoddy quality control from the factory?
Easy to fix most times, just loosen the attachment bolts and even it out.

There's an adjustment point at the outside edge of the top cladding at the front of the wheelwell for adjusting the gap between the light/fender space. The plastic clip things are junk, I replaced mine with ss screws and upholstery washers. Looking good for almost three years now!

I think anybody that owns a 2nd gen will have to do a few things...
Fix a sagging bumper, replace a headlight swich, deal with water in the floorboard, and deal with sloppy steering and look at a cracked dash. The moter might be good but the rest of the truck is junk.

My '99 front bumper was pretty saggy and lopsided when I got it (2006, 124k miles Ebay!) but an hour or so of loosening, fiddling, bumping and shoving, then some bolt tightening took care of it. I did that work 2+ years, and 35,000 miles ago, and it's still straight. My '01 however.... ugh. Maybe next month I'll fool with it.

Its called "torque sag". It results from the mighty Cummins overpowering the vehicle it is packaged in!
