big mouth grille

I am looking seriously into a big mouth grille for my 2006. If anybody has installed one, I have a few questions....
1. Does the new grille insert cover the perimeter frame where the current verticle and horizontal ribs are cut out.
2. If not how did you cut them out and not leave something unsightly?
3. Any close up pics? Especially interested in the areas where the existing ribs were removed.

Thank you in advance.

I do not have one , But I saw one on a truck a few months back & it was a total replacement. He didn't cut anything.Unscrew the stock grill & put in the new grill. Looks real sharp. I looked for them on the net & remember them being around $700.00. Didn't look that good. The only ones I could find had billet cross bars. If I could find one that was all chrome plated ABS I might consider one. It would have to be cheaper. I've avoided putting anything aluminum on this truck. Had quit a bit on other trucks but I'm too lazy to spend the time now days keeping it shiny.

Thank you PMZ... I know they were available for the 2005, but the 2006 is different and I have been unable to locate a complete grille. Love the look, but 700.00? Little steep for sure.

That won't fit the '06. The only big mouth grill that will fit is the T-Rex billet grill.

I have the T-Rex Grille. It turned out REALLY well. You just zip off the center support bar and then it bolts right in. It gave me the extra clearance I needed to clear my intercooler!

I painted mine black and did the whole big mouth grille where you cut away the center post. I like both styles actually.
