7.3L Powerstroke is supposed to fit 91.5-93 models the easiest and they are good size. I think the years are 99-03 not sure though.

The 2nd gen and PSD IC's are within 5% surface area wise. The Ford is an easier install on an intercooled truck IMO, but either one can be used with the same end results. They are both about as big as you can fit on our trucks without major surgery.

Not all 3rd gens have plastic tanks. 03/04/04.5 are aluminum ends. 05 and 06 both, you can find either way. Same way with their IC tubes. Some plastic, some steel.

Like Dave said, the PS intercooler is easier to install in a factory I/C truck.

Depends on the temp difference between atmospheric and charge temp. And lots of other variables.

Thanks Riflemanusmc for getting to the point. Well i think im gonna do the 2nd. gen conversion like DNR customs did. i think it looked real good. Are the measurements of the two (POWER JOKE and 2nd. GEN) about equal or what is bigger?

Like Dave said, the 2nd gen and PS intercoolers are nearly identical performance wise, but the 7.3 PS intercooler is easier to install in a factory intercooled truck.
