BD Triple Dog Versus. Quad Race
Ok,
i was dead set on the Quad Race with commander, then later down the road stack it with a Smarty.
Now after reading all the cool stuff you can do with the BD triple/outlook monitor, i'm stuck.
Looking for opinions, real world first hand experience in which setup may or may not be better than the other..?

I've owned 4 Bullydog Triple Dogs, not a problem yet.....and will own an Outlook later this week.
I do own a Quadzilla box....but do not own a Commander. I've been in a truck with a Commander though...and i looked it over.
I would go for the Commander.....for sure.
But how bout stacking the Bullydog with the Quadzilla Race?
I understand the Quad Race/Smarty works well too....but apparently you are tempted to own a Bullydog product.

I have the triple dog right now and love it and i should have my monitor here tomorrow and probaly like it even more. my experience with quadzilla is i wont ever put anything that has their name back on my truck again. My last truck with quad was a disaster from the day i put there products on the truck, but other guys in here have had no problems with quad on there trucks so its your money and your truck spend how you like.

I have the Triple Dog stacked with my Quadzilla Standard module and use the Commander to monitor the vitals and control the module. Works great. I have been rolling around with the Triple Dog on Extreme and the Quad on 0 (stock with boost fooling) or 1 (30 h.p. setting). If I need to turn it up to smoke some idiot riding my ****, with a push of a button I can add up to 100 h.p. for a quick run. I don't do it very often though because I still have a stock tranny.
I like the way the Quad module tows a lot better than the Bully Dog so when towing I put the Triple Dog to stock and set the Quad module on 2 (60 h.p. setting). Makes moving 11,000 lbs of trailer and gear a whole lot easier.

I found this:
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=118540
Now, I am not even sure the module was on it when this problem happened because it says "truck had" a module on it???
So did it havethis problem with or without the module?
I am all for telling your experience but, when I see something over and over it typically tends to make me believe there is an alternative motive?
So, please enlighten us on what happened? Also please mentioned why it was not mentioned many moons ago when you had this said vehicle?

I have the Quad Race on mine, my Friend has 3xdog with Crazy Larry.
His truck is faster, he smokes more and yes, his tranny slips more.
I missed the last drag racing trip (he ran mid 14's at 1000 feet sea leval) All he has is stright pipe and a BD 3x with CL.
Planning a run I can make with in the next few weeks.
I know I am not as fast as him, but I hope to give him a run for his money.

Does the Smarty allow you to turn on the same features as the BD?

So the Commander had a better interface than than the BD? The only advantage I see with the BD is the cool features you can turn on with it and not have to go to the Dealer, where when I ask about these features they dont' know what's going on.

No the smarty does not do that. The smarty does come with manual high idle enabled, however.
