Banjo Bolt Upgrade?
I did a search on google to try and find a banjo bolt adapter to install my fuel pressure sender for my gauges and had an interesting result pop up. An entire banjo bolt kit to replace the banjo bolts in the fuel system for better flow. I was wondering has anyone done this to their trucks? and if so I have a stock fuel system setup but plan on getting a FASS/Airdog here soon and was wondering if I am going to install the banjo bolt for a fuel pressure gauge would this be a worthwhile undertaking while I am at it anyway? If anyone could give me some more information I would greatly appreciate it.
You can see some improvement by replacing them when you have the stock fuel pump. I saw about 2psi increase at idle with just a big line kit + fittings from the stock filter to the CP3. I modified myself the banjo bolt going into the stock fuel filter. I was able to have about 1psi more at WOT.
If you plan on keeping the engine at stock ratings, the banjo kit will help. I would still have a fuel pressure gauge at the CP3 to make sure that you're getting plenty of fuel to it & it will help gauge if you need to change your fuel filter early.
