i just recently got my truck home from the tranny shop, and its a peach.
but, the past few days of drivin it around (after gettin the truck back weeks ago) its being kinda a turd. you can mat it and it seems like it goes into limp mode or whatever its called. it smokes more (not the pretty black kind) a nasty like white or grey color, and the engine seems to die down, like its losing rpms or somethin. but if i slowly and steadily get on it it'll get to speed, eventually. lol
what do you guys think that is? simple tweak of a screw? or did i get screwed myself? or maybe someplace in between?

 

Fuel supply issue. Like a plugged filter, or weak lift pump. Thats my guess.

 

X2. Fuel filter is the first thing I'd check.

 

White smoke means vapor, so you may not be combusting all the fuel. Water in fuel? I hope not 'cause you may have blown an injector. Like Ritchie-O and Parker said, filter first then go from there.

 

how do i check the filter? (new to wrenchin)

 

Just replace it. It looks like an oil filter with a drain and sensor screwed into the bottom. It's on the driver's side of the engine block.
