axle weight

axle weight

how much can i haul like axle weight thinking about getting a big 5thwheel and is 2000lbs hitch weight too much for me to handle i got a 2500 4x4 6er

Limiting factor is not the rear axle itself, it's the oem tires and wheels. AAM, the manufacturer of the axle, rates the 11.5" axle used in Chrysler and GM trucks at 10,800 lbs, whether in single or dual wheel applications.
